Ladies Beach roads have been given an asphalt face lift.

Starting from the front of Ayma Hotel to approximately the entrance of Ladies Beach itself.  To date about 3,500 cubic meters have been finished and more to come.  So far the Municipality has used 600 tons of asphalt and more on its way to provide a smoother journey for all of us and to be just that bit more ‘tyre freindly’ for a change.

Generally the community are pretty chuffed with this improvement.

Peagen Park Opens!!

Beautiful walk ways with waterfalls, tea garden and green grasses with well tended after trees awaits you in the centre of Kusadasi.

At night this is not only tranquil but very beautiful with its ‘night lit’ water effects.  Just taking a walk around this area give you a peaceful feeling.

The park has received a very positive feedback from all citizens and tourists have been snapping eagerly away with their cameras.  President Altungun stated he was aware that this part of Kusadasi had been neglected and that he was making a point of modernising pathways and expanding sidewalks in town too to make it a more beautiful town for tourists to visit.

It is definitely worth a visit and a picture or too…

Kusadasi Needs Blood Donors To Save Lives

Kusadasi is the first for blood donation throughout the whole of the Aegean side of Turkey.  For the whole month of Ramadan the Municipality is running a campaign to help others in need.  This is a cause that we all need to support as much as we can.  God forbid an accident can happen at any time and it keeps our loved ones safe in the knowledge that in an emergency a life could be saved.

The equivalent to our Red Cross in Europe is known here as the Red Crescent and they do alot of good work throughout all regions of Turkey.  The Director, Dr. Gökay Gök stated. “During the month of Ramadan, the municipality shall continue to support the blood donation campaign.”  He expressed his personal thanks to President Altungün.

All Turkish Citizens and Ex Pats or guests from Kusadasi may donate blood and the Kusadasi Times News hopes that some of our readers will support this honourable cause.

The heart of this town is the people…
